Magnesium

  • Magnesium is a cofactor of multiple essential enzymes in the plant organism. Its most essential function, however, is in the chlorophyll centre. As a general rule: low magnesium uptake = low photosynthetic performance = insufficient nitrogen assimilation = poor growth.
  • Nutricon has introduced a product that, unlike conventional fertilisers, contains a chelated form of Mg. In this form, it can be utilised much better by the plant.

The plants most sensitive to Mg deficiency are:

  • legumes,
  • oilseeds,
  • fruit trees,
  • vegetables.

Moderately sensitive are:

  • cereals,
  • potatoes,
  • sugar beet.
